Ganoderma Lucidum, Chinese name Ling Zhi, called Reishi in Japan, is a very rare and precious traditional Chinese medicine herb since Immemorial time. Ganoderma Lucidum was recorded in the oldest traditional Chinese medical text book "Sheng Nong Ben Cao Jin" about 2000 years ago, and the properties and functions were descripted in many medicinal book afterwards, such as the first government published pharmacopoeia "Xin Xiu Ben Cao" (New Revised Materia Medica) in 659 Tang Dynasty, and in the most famous "Ben Cao Gang Mu" by Li Shi Zheng ?1518 ~ 1593?in Ming Dynasty. In the books, ganoderma lucidum was further classified into 6 kinds (blue, red, yellow, white, black, purple). While different ganoderma lucidum have different effects, tt was recognized that all of the 6 Ling Zhi have no adverse side effect at all, can be used for long time, and long time use will result in keeping healthy, young, and longevity. Red ganoderma lucidum, (red reishi, or red ling zhi), now can be cultivated, and becomes available for popular use. Direction for use:
Cut the dried Ganoderma lucidum (reishi, ling zhi) into small pieces with a garden cutter. Use about half of a whole ling zhi, add 4 bowls of water, boil for ~ 30 minutes using low heat. The boiled ling zhi can be used again for 2 ~ 3 times. You may prepare 2 - 3 days portions at one time and keep in the refrigerator for daily use. Re-heat is best before use.
drink before each meal. For people with stomach problem, drink after each meal. You may add honey.
store the dried Ganoderma lucidum in a dry place, but never in the refrigerator.
